From Passion to Profession: Unveiling Salam's Artistic Journey

Salam Al Rejjal

Salam, a talented artist, has nurtured a lifelong passion for portraiture, specializing in realistic and emotionally resonant work. Balancing her art with a career, she dedicates scheduled time to nurture her creative skills. Her recent pieces explore nature's power. Salam's favorite painting, a serene moonlit beach, reflects her emotional expression and love for the ocean. As an instructor, she teaches charcoal and oil portrait techniques, emphasizing not just technical skill but a deep connection to subjects. Her journey showcases ongoing growth in capturing human emotions through visual art.

When did your drawing journey begin, and what art style resonates with you the most?

I've been drawing since childhood. Portraiture resonates profoundly with me, with its ability to convey emotions, personalities, and stories. I find myself most drawn to realistic portraiture, where I meticulously capture every detail to breathe life into the subjects on canvas.

How do you balance your professional career and your hobby?

Balancing a demanding profession with my passion for portrait art has been a rewarding challenge. I schedule dedicated time for my creative work, helping me improve my skills and stay connected to my art. Surprisingly, my portrait art has boosted my attention to detail and ability to perceive nuances, benefiting my professional career.

Can you tell us about your most recent painting/drawing?

My recent painting captures a young woman with water droplets on her face, exploring vulnerability and nature's rejuvenating power. Meticulously crafted, the droplets symbolize water's physical and emotional significance. Through colour and brushwork, I evoke serenity, prompting viewers to reflect on humanity's connection to nature.

Which painting/drawing is your favorite? Why?

One painting I hold dear portrays a tranquil moonlit beach with captivating blue tones. It was a gift for a close friend, capturing the serene coastline under the moon's embrace. Rich blue hues and subtle moonlit highlights create an inviting, calming atmosphere. This piece is my favourite as it embodies friendship and emotional expression through a shared love for the ocean.

Do you see any progress in your drawing/painting skills?

Over time, I've witnessed significant progress in my portrait art skills. Every piece I create showcases my evolving ability to capture the subtleties of facial expressions, lighting, and mood. As an instructor in charcoal-based portraiture and oil-based portrait painting, I tailor my lessons to delve into the intricate techniques of these mediums.

Could you provide more insights into your charcoal art lessons/courses?

Charcoal lessons emphasize the interplay of light and shadow to sculpt the face, while oil painting sessions focus on achieving lifelike skin tones and textures. My courses aim not only to teach technical proficiency but also to help my students truly connect with the subjects they depict.

Amman's Day Out

A Flavorful Adventure: Chain Reaction Amman’s Day Out at LIVINC in Salt, Jordan

In what can only be described as a delightful collision of team building and delicious food, the team at Chain Reaction Amman went on a memorable trip to a boutique farm for community initiatives and value-focused programs, LIVINC Jordan.

This escapade wasn’t just a typical team outing – it was a whirlwind of fun, laughter, and some seriously scrumptious food! Divided into groups, we forged connections, bonded with different colleagues and even discovered our group-naming skills.

The day’s activities were engaging and entertaining. They included team-building games that had us working in harmony, testing our creativity, and competing against one another. And as if that wasn’t enough, we also got to soak in the beauty of a carefully crafted natural oasis.

If there’s one thing we learned, it’s that a shared love for good food and good company has the power to create chains of laughter and connection. But let’s just say missing a day equals a thrilling overtime sprint to make up for lost time. Who needs a steady work rhythm anyway?

GOSSIPING TIME

Wow, breaking news: The highly anticipated office furniture for the Amman office has finally arrived.

Word on the street is that the Dubai team's fridge is overflowing with fruits.

Rumour has it that Eyas decided to go horseback riding, looking all dashing and confident, but fate had other plans for him. Can you believe it? The poor guy ended up having an allergic reaction to something related to the horse, and his face swelled up like

It seems like clumsiness is becoming Eyas' signature move around the office. I heard that he's turned, bumping his head into an art form, managing to find a way to collide with almost every piece of furniture in sight.

You won't believe the morning madness we had last month in the Amman office! The coffee machine decided it was tired of brewing, so it decided to put on a fiery light show instead.

Have you heard about Nedal from HR? It turns out he's a secret singing sensation – but with a twist! He's been belting out tunes in his office, convinced that the walls are soundproof.

Did you catch wind of the latest scoop about the Dubai Team? Apparently, they transformed the office into a makeshift racetrack by filming the next big automotive blockbuster in the office.
